| Jennifer F. Scanlon
President and Chief Executive Officer
Jennifer F. Scanlon is president and chief executive officer, USG Corporation.
Scanlon’s previous roles with USG include president, International; president, L&W Supply Corporation; chief information officer and chairman of the board for USG Boral Building Products. She has led the company through some of its most significant strategic moves in recent history, including establishing the USG Boral Building Products joint venture and the divestiture of L&W Supply Corporation.
Scanlon joined USG in 2003 as director of strategy implementation for Supply Chain Management and Customer Relationship Management. She holds a bachelor’s degree in government and computer applications from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago.
Scanlon serves on the boards of Norfolk Southern Corporation, the National Association of Manufacturers, the Chicago Council of Global Affairs and SHORE Community Services, Inc. She is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago, The Chicago Network and the Executives’ Club of Chicago.
| Matthew F. Hilzinger
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Matthew F. Hilzinger is executive vice president and chief financial officer. He is responsible for the strategy and vision of USG’s corporate finance, accounting, investor relations and treasury functions.
Hilzinger joined USG Corporation in 2012. His previous positions included executive vice president and chief financial officer of Exelon Corporation, principal accounting officer of ComEd and PECO Energy Company, chief accounting officer of Commonwealth Edison Company and vice president of Kmart Corporation.
Hilzinger graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1985. He became a certified public accountant in 1987.
Hilzinger is a member of the board of directors for USG Boral Building Products, the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago and FuelCell Energy Inc.
| Brian J. Cook
Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer
Brian J. Cook is executive vice president and chief administrative officer of USG Corporation, a manufacturer and distributor of high-performance building systems through its subsidiaries, United States Gypsum Company, USG Interiors, Inc., and USG International.
Cook is responsible for the Human Resources, Corporate Communications, Corporate Services, and Environmental, Health & Safety functions. He serves on the board of the USG Boral Building Products joint venture and is President of the USG Foundation, which provides grants to organizations that support housing, education and human services in communities in which USG employees live and work.
Cook is an advisory board member for Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business and is an adjunct instructor in the MBA program at Loyola University of Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business. He has been a director of the HR Policy Association’s Center on Executive Compensation since its inception in 2010, an organization dedicated to promoting principled pay and governance practices to serve the best interests of shareholders.
Cook serves on the board of the National Safety Council, the leading safety advocate for preventing unintentional injuries and death, and Skills for Chicagoland’s Future, a public-private partnership working to match businesses with qualified, unemployed or underemployed job seekers. He is a former board member and Chairman Emeritus of the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago, which helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to disasters.
Cook attended Virginia Tech, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Finance, as well as an MBA. He earned his Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law and is licensed to practice law in Illinois.
| Dominic A. Dannessa
Executive Vice President and Chief Customer and Innovation Officer
Dominic A. Dannessa is Executive Vice President and Chief Customer and Innovation Officer. He also oversees USG’s Corporate Innovation Center in Libertyville, Ill. In this role, Dannessa leads the development and commercialization of USG’s innovative products and solutions that will fuel growth and improve the customer experience.
Dannessa holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago, as well as a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Youngstown State University.
Dannessa joined USG in 1978 as a project engineer and has held a multitude of leadership roles across the business, including senior vice president, Manufacturing; vice president, Supply Chain; chief information officer and plant manager for more than 15 years.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of USG Boral Building Products and Gypsum Engineering Company. Dom is active in the National Association of Manufacturers and the Naval War College, and is a past participant of the Harvard University's Joint Center for Housing Studies and a past Board member of the Industrial Research Institute.
| Joseph W. Holmes
Senior Vice President, Manufacturing, Technology and Global Operations
Joseph W. Holmes is Senior Vice President, Manufacturing, Technology and Global Operations. In this role, Holmes is responsible for USG’s manufacturing, supply chain, technical services and engineering groups, as well as the USG Boral joint ventures.
Holmes joined USG in 1984 and has held various roles including vice president, Enterprise Technology and vice president, Manufacturing. Holmes also served as general manager and vice president of operations for L&W Supply Corporation (prior to being divested by USG Corporation) and as chief technology officer and chief operating officer for USG Boral Building Products.
Holmes holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Texas and has served as a member of the Board of Directors of USG Boral Drywall LLC, Zawawi Gypsum LLC, USG Middle East, Ltd. and SGI Co., Ltd.
| Christopher D. Macey
Senior Vice President and President, Ceilings
Christopher D. Macey is Senior Vice President and President of the Ceilings division at USG Corporation. In this role, Macey is responsible for the strategic direction, profitability and growth of USG’s ceilings business.
Macey joined USG in 2006 as vice president of Sales and Marketing for CGC Inc., USG’s Canadian subsidiary. He has held a variety of leadership roles in USG’s Canadian, Mexican and Latin American businesses.
Macey holds a bachelor’s degree from The University of Western Ontario and a master’s degree in business administration from the Ivey Business School at The University of Western Ontario.
Macey has held various management and coaching roles in competitive youth minor hockey in Ontario, Canada, and previously served as a supplier representative on The Home Depot Canada’s Advisory committee for The Home Depot Foundation.
| John M. Reale
Senior Vice President and President, Performance Materials
John M. Reale is Senior Vice President and President of the Performance Materials division at USG Corporation. In this role, Reale is responsible for the strategic direction, business growth, P&L performance and new product development of USG’s underlayment, building envelope, and structural business units.
Reale joined USG in 1984 as a cost accountant and has held a variety of leadership roles in the areas of accounting, finance, sales, customer service, technology and marketing, including senior vice president, Marketing and Customer Experience, senior vice president, Business Excellence, chief information officer and vice president, Customer Relationship Management.
Reale holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Saint Bonaventure University.
Reale is active in his community, and previously served as a member of the Mayor’s Technology Council of Chicago (2005-2008), the CISCO Manufacturing Advisory Council (2014-2017) and the Rosary Catholic High School Board of Directors from 2011-2015.
| Gregory D. Salah
Senior Vice President and President, Gypsum
Greg Salah is Senior Vice President and President of the Gypsum division at USG Corporation. He is responsible for strategy, sales, national accounts, profit and loss and customer service for all USG’s wallboard and surfaces products.
Salah joined USG in 1985 as a sales representative, accepting progressively responsible roles throughout his 30 years with the company. His experience includes positions in the sales, sales management and marketing organizations.
Salah holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in marketing from DePaul University.
Salah is an active board member of Mercy Housing and is a past board member of the Ceilings & Interior Systems Construction Association. He has been invited to speak at professional and trade events, including the Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industry.
| Michelle M. Warner
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Michelle M. Warner is Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for USG Corporation. She also serves as a member of the Executive Committee, providing strategic counsel for the business at large. Warner has nearly 25 years of extensive corporate legal experience, and most recently served as deputy general counsel and corporate secretary for Motorola Solutions, Inc., which she joined in 1997. She has a strong background in leading significant transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and equity investments, as well as securities and corporate governance.
Warner began her legal career with McDermott, Will & Emery and Holleb & Coff. She received her juris doctor degree from the Northwestern University School of Law and her undergraduate degree in Economics from Denison University.
Warner is an active community supporter. She serves on the Board of Directors for Logan Square Preservation, and is a member of the President’s Council of the Museum of Science and Industry. She also serves on the Midwest Advisory Council with Denison University.
| Kenneth R. Banas
Vice President, Advanced Manufacturing and Corporate Excellence
Kenneth R. Banas is Vice President, Advanced Manufacturing and Corporate Excellence. He is responsible for overseeing USG’s Advanced Manufacturing initiative, Lean Six Sigma organization, Lean Management System, Enterprise Project Management Organization and Manufacturing Reliability.
Banas joined USG in 2004. He previously served as treasurer and was responsible for the leadership and direction of the treasury function, including all aspects of USG’s capital strategy and structure. He was also a key member of a team that completed the largest transformational joint venture in USG’s history, the creation of USG Boral Building Products, and divestiture of USG’s distribution business, L&W Supply.
Prior to serving as treasurer, Banas was responsible for enterprise program management and was the program manager for the company’s largest IT project. Banas is a member of Board for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago. Banas holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in astronomy and physics and a master’s degree in astrophysics from the California Institute of Technology.
| Diane Earll
Vice President, Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness
Diane Earll is vice president, Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness, USG Corporation. In this role she is responsible for building a best-in-class human resources function to support and the company's growth strategy. Earll's areas of responsibility include leadership development and succession planning, talent acquisition and management, training and development, HR operations and workforce diversity.
Earll joined USG in 1992 and has held various leadership roles, including vice president, National Accounts; senior director, Retail Sales; senior director, Product Management and senior director, Customer Service.
Earll holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Northern Illinois University. She serves as a board member of United Way of Metropolitan Chicago's Leadership Giving Circle and of the Home Improvement Research Institute.
| Sean M. Gillen
Vice President and Treasurer
Sean M. Gillen is Vice President and Treasurer, USG Corporation. He is responsible for the leadership and direction of the treasury function, including capital strategy and structure, banking activities, investor relations, financial shared services and rating agency relationships. He is also responsible for hedging strategies, merger and acquisitions and the management of USG’s pension fund.
Prior to USG, Gillen was employed at Goldman, Sachs & Company in the investment banking area. He has deep experience in developing the strategy and financing of mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and corporate spin-offs, as well as management of shareholder activism, capital return programs and debt financings. Gillen has a degree in business administration from the University of Michigan.
| Mary A. Martin
Vice President and Associate General Counsel
Mary Martin is vice president and associate general counsel, USG Corporation. She was previously associate general counsel – litigation and served in the position since 2000. Martin is responsible for managing litigation involving USG and it s subsidiaries.
During USG’s reorganization, she was responsible for the proceedings relating to resolution of USG’s asbestos liabilities. Martin also provides antitrust, compliance and other counseling and serves on the corporation’s business ethics compliance committee and enterprise risk management committee.
Martin received a juris doctor degree from Northwestern University School of Law. Prior to joining USG, Martin was a partner in a Chicago litigation firm. Her practice focused on commercial litigation, including trials of antitrust, products liability, and franchise and distributor lawsuits. She also represented United States Gypsum Company in various asbestos property damage cases.
Martin has served as an adjunct professor of trial advocacy at Northwestern University School of Law and taught courses in deposition techniques and trial advocacy at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.
| Jeanette A. Press
Vice President and Controller
Jeanette A. Press is vice president and controller, USG Corporation. She has direct oversight of analysis, interpretation and presentation of financial statements. Press leads the corporate and technical accounting groups to drive accounting consistency and appropriate application across the company.
Prior to joining USG in 2011, Press spent more than 13 years in the audit practice at KPMG, LLP serving both public and private, multinational corporations in the consumer and industrial markets.
Press graduated magnum cum laude from Loyola University with a degree in accounting and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Illinois. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Illinois CPA Society, the SEC Professionals Group and the Loyola University Accounting Advisory Board.
| Peter V. Savu
Vice President, Manufacturing and Global Supply Chain
Peter V. Savu is Vice President, Manufacturing and Global Supply Chain. In this role, he is responsible for the safety, productivity and quality of more than 50 manufacturing locations across North America.
Savu joined USG in 1981 and has held progressively responsible roles with the organization, including general manager, Performance Substrates, director, Manufacturing Improvement Programs and plant manager at four locations.
Savu holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial systems engineering from Ohio University.
| Srinivas Veeramasuneni
Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer
Srinivas Veeramasuneni is Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer. He leads USG’s innovation strategy and collaborative research to enhance USG’s competitive position and profitability by continuously developing effective research programs.
Dr. Veeramasuneni holds a Ph.D. in metallurgical engineering from the University of Utah, and has held various research and management positions at USG since 1998. Throughout his career, he has been involved in innovation strategy, talent management, change management, technology roadmapping and process improvements.
Dr. Veeramasuneni is active in external organizations and has held executive positions in ASTM committees, Industrial Minerals Division of SME and Industrial Research Institute. Dr. Veeramasuneni has an extensive background in surface science and related application areas, including crystallization, mineral processing, and building materials. In addition to publishing nearly 25 papers in surface science-related journals, he is currently acting as a reviewer for International Journal of Mineral Processing. Dr. Veeramasuneni has been awarded 12 U.S. patents related to building materials, and has received numerous awards, including the AIME Rossiter W. Raymond Memorial Award, SME Industrial Minerals Division Young Scientist Award, the Robert W. Piekarz Award and has been named a Chicago United Business Leader of Color.
| Creighton Warren
Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Creighton Warren is vice president and chief information officer, USG Corporation. In this role, Warren is responsible for the development and execution of USG's information technology functions, from strategy through implementation. Warren has been named a Premier 100 Technology Leader by Computerworld, and under Warren's leadership, the USG IT group was named the Most Effective IT Team by the Association of Information Technology Professionals and the Society for Information Management.
Warren joined USG in 2003 to lead the IT portion of a $150 million customer satisfaction initiative and company-wide implementation of the Oracle eBusiness suite. Prior to USG, Warren worked for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and Heller Financial. Warren holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Northwestern University.
Warren is a member of the Department of Computer Science External Advisory Board at the University of Illinois – Chicago. He lives in the Chicago area with his wife and three children.
