Building Next-Generation Leaders: Women in Manufacturing
We believe in building careers. With eight Employee Resource Groups and five employee led networking groups, our employees can find development, mentoring, and engagement for their unique interests.
Recently, our female manufacturing leaders gathered at our Cloquet, Minn. plant for our seventh annual Women in Manufacturing Forum, a two-day educational event where members share best practices, develop their leadership skills and discuss ways to grow throughout their professional lives.
Stacy Kuszmaul, plant manager of our Delavan plant and founding member of the Women in Manufacturing group, says, “We started the group with the intent to promote and retain females in the manufacturing industry. We focus on training and mentoring our female employees because we want them to be successful throughout their career at USG.”
In addition to team-building, networking and hearing guest speakers, the group demonstrated USG’s core values of service and integrity by working with the American Red Cross to assemble more than 250 hygiene kits for our neighbors in need.
