USG is a leader in each of its three core businesses. USG is number one in gypsum wallboard with about 30 percent of the North American market. USG leads this business with low cost capacity and market leading brands such as SHEETROCK brand wallboard, DUROCK brand cement boards and FIBEROCK gypsum fiber panel products. About a third of sales are from non-wallboard products. USG's worldwide ceilings business, whose products are primarily used in non-residential buildings, is the second largest in the industry. These businesses maintain a strong relationship with dealers which carry both ceilings and gypsum products. USG's building products distribution business, L&W Supply, is the only specialty gypsum dealer with a national presence. L&W's size (about $2 billion in annual revenues) gives it advantages from economies of scale not available to its primary competitors, which tend to be small, local independent dealers. L&W sold about 12 percent of all wallboard in the U.S. in 2008.
